しまいとし　あめりか　てねしーしゅう　すまーなし　Sister City Smyrna, Tennessee, U.S.A.

1991ねん　11がつ　1にち　に　ざまし　と　あめりか　の　てねしーしゅう　の　すまーなし　は　しまいとし　に　なりました。
てねしーしゅう　は　せんそう　の　とき　に　ぼらんてぃあ　の　へいし　が　たくさん　いた　ため　「ぼらんてぃあ　の　しゅう」と　よばれて　います。
すまーなし　は　じかん　が　ゆったり　と　ながれる　うつくしい　まちです。
1997ねん　から　ざまし　と　すまーなし　は　こうりゅう　じぎょう　を　しています。　ざまし　と　すまーなし　の　せいと　が　それぞれ　の　いえ　に　とまって　こうりゅう　します。
ざまし　の　せいと　は　1ねんめ　に　けんしゅう　を　して　2ねんめ　に　すまーなし　へ　いきます。　3ねんめ　は　すまーなし　の　せいと　を　うけいれます。

Zama City and Smyrna City, Tennessee, U.S.A. entered into a Sister City Agreement on November 1, 1991.
Tennessee became known as the “Volunteer State” during the War of 1812 and Civil War due to the prominent role played by volunteer soldiers from the Tennessee. Smyrna is a beautiful local city with lots of nature overflowing with southern hospitality where the time goes by slowly and peacefully.
To develop international exchange and to promote friendship and mutual understanding with Smyrna, we have conducted Sister City exchange program since 1997. This program is for Zama students running on 3-year cycle such as training students, sending students and accepting students.

Smyrna is located in the middle of Tennessee and it takes about 40 minutes to Nashville, state capital, by car.

Smyrna is located in approximately the same latitude as central Honshu, Japan.Temperatures are high in the summer, and it sometimes snows in the winter.

19せいき　の　はじめ　には　こむぎ　や　とうもろこし　だいず　など　を　つくって　いました。
1983ねん　に　にっさん　の　こうじょう　が　できて　こうぎょう　が　さかん　に　なりました。
In the early 19th century, Smyrna was prospering in agriculture, producing crops such as wheat, corn, soybeans, and cotton. During the 70s and 80s, the economy of Smyrna prospered attracting industries, and further developed as NISSAN built its first factory in the United States in Smyrna.
